De Advayavada Stichting heeft ten doel het verkondigen op allerlei wijzen in binnen- en buitenland van de overtuiging, belichaamd in het Advayavada-boeddhisme, dat de mens als vooruitgang ervaart dat wat overeenkomt met de richting waarin het geheel van het bestaan voortgaat in de tijd, en dat het boeddhistisch Edele Achtvoudige Pad derhalve dient te worden verstaan als een weerspiegeling onder de mensen, en in menselijke termen, van die vooruitgang van het bestaan. The purpose of the Advayavada Foundation is the proclamation by all possible means in the Netherlands and abroad of the conviction, embodied in Advayavada Buddhism, that man experiences as progress that which agrees with the direction in which overall existence moves forward over time, and that the Buddhist Noble Eightfold Path must in consequence be understood as a reflexion at the human level, and in human terms, of that progress of existence.
La Fondation Advayavada a pour bout proclamer par toutes moyens aux Pays-Bas et dans le monde la conviction, incarnée dans le bouddhisme Advayavada, que l'homme ressent comme progrès ce qui concorde avec la direction dans laquelle toute l'existence avance dans le temps, et que le Noble Octuple Sentier doit donc être compris comme un reflet parmi les hommes, et en termes humains, de ce progrès de l'existence.
Naast het nakomen van haar eigenlijke doelstelling wenst de Advayavada Stichting de toepassing van de volgende universele 'common ground' onderhandelingsformule te bevorderen: Bij spanningen en dreigend conflict de aandacht onmiddellijk te verlagen naar het niveau van de reeds gedeelde waarden en de onderhandelingen zo vaak als noodzakelijk van daaruit opnieuw te hervatten.
Besides carrying out its official main purpose, the Advayavada Foundation seeks to further the implementation of the following universal common ground negotiation formula: In the case of tension and the threat of conflict, to immediately lower our concern and attention to the level of the values we already share and to restart the negotiations from that point onwards as often as necessary.
Outre la mise en oevre de son objectif principal, la Fondation Advayavada souhaite stimuler l'application de la formule universelle de négotiation 'common ground' suivante: En cas de tensions et de menace de conflit, abaisser immédiatement l'attention au niveau des valeurs déjà partagées, et recommencer les négotiations à partir de ce point aussi souvent que nécessaire.
De Advayavada Stichting werd opgericht op 14 november 2001 te Amsterdam, Nederland, en ingeschreven in de Kamer van Koophandel te Amsterdam als stichting zonder winstoogmerk op 21 november 2001, onder nummer 34165177.
The Advayavada Stichting (a.k.a. Advayavada Foundation) was established in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on November 14th, 2001, and registered in the Chamber of Commerce of Amsterdam as a non-profit foundation on November 21st, 2001, under number 34165177.
All the Foundation's initiatives are based further on the general principles of 1) the secular state; 2) a multicultural society; 3) liberal democratic governance; 4) the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; 5) gender equality and education for all; 6) fair trading and sharing; 7) non-violence and peace; 8) Common Ground conflict resolution*; 9) the care for health and environment; and 10) international cooperation and solidarity.
